Larson-Danielson, Facet Architecture receive construction awards

La Porte-based Larson-Danielson Construction recently received the 2024 Excellence in Construction Awards for two projects.

Larson-Danielson served as the general contractor for the Beth & Lou Holtz Family Grand Reading Room renovation project in Hesburgh Library at the University of Notre Dame. The renovated two-story reading room features over 250 table seats for individual study, seating around an enclosed fireplace and a new stairwell. The walls of windows offer panoramic views of the campus.

Drift on Pine is the second award-winning project. The project features structural design by Larson-Danielson and architectural planning by Facet Architecture. Larson-Danielson works with Facet Architecture to provide in-house design and build services.

Drift on Pine is a three-story restaurant and bar in La Porte. Larson-Danielson and Facet Architecture designed and constructed dining areas, a patio and three bars. Drift on Pine also has rooftop areas with views of Pine Lake.

Associated Builders and Contractors, a national trade association, presents the Excellence in Construction Awards. The awards celebrate innovative and high-quality construction projects, safety, diversity, inclusion and merit programs. Founded in 1950, the Associated Builders and Contractors represents and champions the construction industry.

Larson-Danielson Construction is a design-build commercial general contractor. The company has served Northwest Indiana for over a century. Larson-Danielson provides construction management, pre-construction planning and labor in commercial construction trades.

La Porte-based Facet Architecture is a commercial architecture firm. The company designs additions to existing structures, renovations and ground-up projects. Facet Architecture has an architectural staff of over 40 individuals.
