Builders host Parade of Homes

Home builders will showcase their craftsmanship in the Home Builders Association of Northwest Indiana's Parade of Homes, Sept. 20–21 and 27–28.

The event invites the public to tour over 26 newly built homes across Lake and Porter counties. The self-guided tour is free. It offers a collection of homes designed to inspire, whether attendees are building, remodeling or house hunting.

“The Parade of Homes is the original home showcase in our Region, and it remains the premier event where our builders demonstrate the skill, creativity and craftsmanship that set them apart,” said Zach Garza, HBANWI board president and ICC Floors NWI branch manager, in a press release. “Each year, our members look forward to opening the doors of these incredible homes to the community.”

Local builders, designers and suppliers will be on-site to meet with tour participants. Visitors will also have the opportunity to explore new neighborhoods and gather ideas for outdoor living and landscaping projects.

“The Parade of Homes is a unique opportunity for homebuyers, industry professionals and community members to find inspiration and enjoy a memorable experience-unlike any other,” Josh Blackburn, Parade of Homes chairman, HBANWI vice president and exhibitor with Blackburn Builders, said. “Attendees will experience first-hand the quality and innovation shaping the future of home building in our Region.”

Most homes will be open noon to 5 p.m. on all four days of the event. Virtual tours will also be available.
