City of Gary Mayor Eddie Melton will address the Gary Chamber of Commerce at a luncheon Jan. 13.

The event marks the chamber’s first general membership meeting and luncheon of the new year.

Mayor Melton will provide updates on the City of Gary’s accomplishments in 2024. He will also speak about opportunities for the city in 2025.

The meeting and luncheon is open to all interested parties. The event will take place 11:30 a.m. Jan. 13 at Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana, Council Oak Steakhouse, in Gary. Doors open 11 a.m. for networking.

Born and raised in Gary, Melton is the city’s 22nd mayor. Melton served two terms as state senator for Indiana’s 3rd District. In 2023, Melton was elected mayor of the City of Gary. He assumed office Jan. 1, 2024.
