Barbauld Agency named Shorty Award finalist

The Valparaiso-based Barbauld Agency is among seven finalists for a Shorty in the Paid & Amplification award category.

The Shorty Awards honor innovative work in digital and social media by brands, agencies and organizations.

Chris Barbauld, The Barbauld Agency president, said the agency is thrilled to be a finalist for the Shorty Awards.

“It’s a testament to the creativity, collaboration and dedication our team brings to every project,” Barbauld said in a press release. “We’re proud of our team’s hard work and grateful to be celebrated alongside such incredible talent.”

Founded in 2008, the Shortys’ previous winners include Malala Yousafzai, Trevor Noah, Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga and Lizzo. Brands such as MTV, HBO, Meta, Airbnb, Honda and  UNICEF have also won Shortys.

The other Paid & Amplification finalists include entries from ABC, 5WPR/G-SHOCK, Big Happy, FWD People/The Brigid Alliance and Lenovo.

“Being shortlisted for a Shorty Award reflects embracing cutting-edge innovation, pushing our industry forward – an industry where creativity knows no bounds,” Junmian Sun, Shorty Awards managing director, said.

The Real Time Academy selects the winners. The academy includes industry leaders from brands and organizations like Google, Warner Bros, Meta and Ben & Jerry's. They will announce winners May 21 during the Shorty Awards ceremony at Tribeca 360° in New York City.

For the Shorty Awards, The Barbauld Agency submitted the entry — “Navigating the Roadblocks: How Data and Strategy Drove Owner-Operator Recruitment.”

The entry showcases the campaign The Barbauld Agency completed for Trailer Transit. Trailer Transit hired the agency to elevate its brand awareness to ensure a steady stream of experienced owner-operator applicants.

The ad campaign generated over 3.1 million impressions across platforms. It also generated about 6,200 Facebook leads and nearly 1,300 high-intent conversions from Google Search.

“We’re proud of what we accomplished for Trailer Transit, and we’re elated that this campaign is being considered for a Shorty,” Barbauld said.
