Merrillville-based White Lodging joined Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants to open its latest hotel in San Antonio.

The Kimpton Santo Hotel has 347 hotel rooms and suites, nestled in the heart of the city's arts and business communities.

The-13,000-square foot hotel merges 19th-century German-English schoolhouse buildings with modern style.

“Kimpton Santo’s design, service offering and location all blend together to bring one of the most exciting projects – part new build, part adaptive reuse – to San Antonio,” said Lynn Snyder, a White Lodging hospitalitarian, in a press release. “We look forward to being a cherished part of this beautiful city and a destination for exceptional service and amenities.”

Jeremy Lander will serve as director of sales and marketing, while Snyder is the property's general manager. White Lodging is the owner and operator of the 10-story hotel, which opened Aug. 29.

Kimpton Santo features the restaurant Dean’s Steak & Seafood, which includes an oyster bar and wine room. It also features two ballrooms and an outdoor atrium. Tenfold Rooftop is an open-air venue and bar.

Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants is part of IHG Hotels & Resorts.

Bruce White founded White Lodging in 1985. The company now develops, owns and manages properties in Austin, Chicago, Denver, Nashville, Indianapolis and Louisville.
