The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority is inviting businesses in the hospitality industry to its Partnership Summit Nov. 14.
The South Shore receives nearly 6.5 million visitors annually. The outlook for economic growth in the Region is promising, said Phil Taillon, SSCVA president/CEO.
“Our team will demonstrate how collaboration can boost tourism and drive more customers to your doorstep,” Taillon said in a press release. “This is an opportunity for every business to benefit, as both visitors and residents enjoy the wide range of attractions and amenities our region offers.”
The SSCVA is a sales and marketing organization that promotes the development and support of attractions throughout Northwest Indiana. The SSCVA was established in 1983.
“Byway Brewing places a high value on our partnership with the SSCVA,” Dave Toth, Byway Brewing co-owner, said. “The summit presents an excellent opportunity for businesses to learn about the benefits the SSCVA can bring to them.”
Julie Zasada, The Museum at Lassen’s Resort executive director, said the reports presented at the summit help the museum make informed decisions to maximize outreach.
Summit topics include an overview of 2024 successes and what to expect in 2025, new sports and leisure initiatives, marketing and advertising opportunities.
“After attending the 2023 summit, they showed me that they have an advertising agency mindset that produces results,” Ted Rita, Hesston Steam Museum executive director, said.
The Partnership Summit will take place Nov. 14 at the Indiana Welcome Center in Hammond. There are two sessions to choose from: 9 to 11:30 a.m. and 2 to 4:30 p.m. Both sessions will be the same and include drinks, snacks and giveaways. Learn more here.
