Franciscan Health to open new St. John facility in 2026

Franciscan Health broke ground Nov. 4 on a two-story, 82,881-square-foot building in St. John.

The Most Rev. Robert McClory, bishop of the Diocese of Gary, offered a blessing.

Tonn and Blank Construction is constructing the new medical office building at 10323 Wicker Ave.

“Franciscan Health has proudly served the St. John community and its residents for decades,” said Dr. Daniel McCormick, Franciscan Health Crown Point president and CEO, in a press release. “With this exciting new project, we are eager to enhance patient access by providing a convenient location that houses multiple services, further supporting our regional health care approach.”

The location will offer ExpressCare, primary care and specialty physician offices, diagnostic imaging, ultrasound and laboratory services.

Franciscan Health also broke ground Oct. 29. on a similar medical office building in Valparaiso. Both projects are scheduled from completion by the end of 2026.
