Munster-based Community Healthcare System was recently named a Best Place to Work in IT on Computerworld’s annual report.

The Best Places to Work in IT list is an annual ranking of the top work environments for technology professions. The list is compiled based on a survey of companies as to benefits, compensation, diversity, training and retention. A panel of industry experts reviews the rankings.

Community Healthcare System was recognized as one of the top 50 large companies. Large companies are classified as having 5,000 or more employees.

“We are honored to be recognized among these great companies,” said Jesus Delgado, chief information officer and vice president of information technology for Community Healthcare System, in a press release.

Community Healthcare System’s IT team works to enable technology that improves patient care.

“Our team is proud of the work they do to maintain a secure, fully integrated digital ecosystem that optimizes patient care across our health care system,” Delgado said.

The health care system also has outpatient clinics, physician offices, rehabilitation centers and home care.
