Caravel Autism Health opens in Dyer

Caravel Autism Health hosted a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the opening of its new clinic in Dyer.

The autism therapy clinic aims to expand access to services for families in Northwest Indiana. The clinic features colorful, sensory-friendly spaces where children work one-on-one with therapists to build skills and learn to connect with the world around them.

Caravel Autism Health also offers diagnostic services, family support and counseling. The clinic provides Applied Behavior Analysis therapy, which is positive reinforcement to help children build communication and social skills.

“This clinic brings new resources for families in Northwest Indiana who have struggled to find expert care for their children,” said Mike Miller, Caravel CEO, in a press release. “Research shows that ABA therapy gives children the greatest opportunity to reach their full potential, so we are committed to investing to bring autism specialists into communities like this one.”

The new center is led by clinic director Kristin Rowland, who was born and raised in Northwest Indiana.

“We’re thrilled to open our doors to local families and offer high-quality ABA therapy,” Rowland said. “ABA is positively life-changing, especially when we can begin providing therapy in the early developmental years.”

Caravel Autism Health specializes in evaluation, diagnosis and therapy for young children on the autism spectrum. The company is based in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Caravel Autism Health was founded in 2009.
