Duneland Chamber to host wine festival

Chesterton-based Duneland Chamber of Commerce is hosting its annual wine-tasting festival Vino al Fresco on Sept. 14.

Vino al Fresco offers an evening of wines, local flavors and live entertainment. Aftermath Cidery and Winery, Avinodos, Four Corners Winery, Lambstone Cellars Winery, Running Vines Winery, Shady Creek Winery and Trip Fermentations will be at the festival. Zorn Brew Works will serve beer on-site.

Food vendors include local restaurants Albano's, South Shore Ovenworks and Lia's Bella Cucina.

The Hicks Duo will be performing live throughout the evening.

“We love partnering with local wineries and vendors to put on this great event for our community,” said Rachel Campbell, Duneland Chamber of Commerce events manager, in a press release. “Vino al Fresco is a perfect opportunity to bring a date or a friend and enjoy a night of sampling under the lights.”

Vino al Fresco is in its fourth year. The festival will take place from 5 to 9 p.m. on Sept. 14 at Thomas Centennial Park in downtown Chesterton. Learn more here

The Duneland Chamber of Commerce serves the towns of Beverly Shores, Burns Harbor, Chesterton, Dune Acres and Porter. The organization provides community-building events and educational programming. The chamber promotes economic development in the Duneland area.
