Indianapolis-based Krieg DeVault will expand its reach in Chicago by joining with Fuchs & Roselli.

Fuchs & Roselli has a 35-year history in Chicago and employs 25 professionals. The merger will make a total of almost 40 employees in Illinois for Krieg DeVault. It opened its Chicago operations in 2007.

“As our clients’ needs continue to grow, so does our firm’s strategic vision on how we help each of them achieve their goals,” said Michael Messaglia, managing partner of Krieg DeVault, in a press release. “The professionals in this group share the same philosophy as Krieg DeVault in ensuring we provide our clients with responsive and high-quality professional services that help them achieve their goals.”

David Buetow, a partner at Fuchs & Roselli, agreed that the two firms have similar approaches.

“When we began talks of merging our firms’ talents, it became obvious that Krieg DeVault would be a natural fit for the evolution of Fuchs & Roselli,” Buetow said. “Being able to access the full-service depth that Krieg DeVault offers allows us to expand our services to our current and future clients in Chicago and beyond.”

Messaglia also sees the merger as a way to strengthen services in some business units.

“The synergy of our firm’s like-minded approach of delivering exceptional client service was apparent in our decision to join forces for the benefit of our clients,” he said.

Krieg DeVault will move to the Fuchs & Roselli space at 200 S. Wacker in mid-2025. Fuchs & Roselli will take on the name Krieg DeVault.

Krieg DeVault has grown from a two-person firm in the mid-1870s. It also has offices in Carmel, Crown Point and Mishawaka.
