Peoples Bank Whiting receives award

The Whiting Chamber of Commerce presented Peoples Bank’s Whiting Banking Center with a Longevity Award.

The award recognizes the bank’s 15 years of consistent, community-focused service. Peoples Bank received the award at the chamber’s themed dinner “A Night at the Oscars.”

Bank team members Sergio Gonzalez, Nadia Grisolia, Claudia Guerrero and Joe Shimala accepted the award.

“Our 15 years of service reflect our commitment to building strong relationships within Whiting and making a lasting impact on our community,” said Sergio Gonzalez, banking center manager, in a press release. “Every day, our team works to create meaningful connections, ensuring that we not only meet our customers’ needs but also contribute to a thriving, supportive community.”

Munster-based Peoples Bank is a locally managed community bank. The bank was founded in 1910. Peoples Bank has banking centers across Northwest Indiana and Chicagoland.
