Old National volunteers log 7,600 hours

Old National Bancorp set records for volunteer participation, hours and organizations served during its Better Together Day.

The annual two-day volunteer blitz took place Sept. 18-19. Over 2,400 team members from the nine states served by Old National banking centers participated. Volunteers served 196 nonprofit and other organizations in Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, Tennessee and Wisconsin.

“As a community bank, our annual Better Together Days really keeps us grounded in terms of our mission,” said Kathy Schoettlin, chief brand & culture officer, in a press release. “We’re also proud of our team members for making service a vital part of our organizational culture and serving almost 200 nonprofits and organizations throughout the Midwest and Southeast.”

Old National Bancorp is the holding company of Old National Bank. The bank has dual headquarters in Evansville and Chicago. Old National Bank was founded in 1834.
