Allegius launches new brand

Michigan City-based Allegius Credit Union has announced the launch of its refreshed brand identity.

The updated logo and visual identity represents the next evolution for Allegius — one that honors its history while embracing a forward-looking vision.

Founded in 1966, Allegius has evolved from a small credit union serving only Bethlehem Steel employees into a financial partner for individuals and families across Northwest Indiana and beyond.

“While our look has evolved, our mission remains the same,” said Karin Birchel, Allegius Credit Union president and CEO, in a press release. “For nearly six decades, we’ve been dedicated to helping our members achieve their financial goals. This rebrand reflects who we are today — strong, vibrant and ready for the future.”

Members and the community will begin to see the new Allegius brand across digital platforms, print materials and communications at the end of October. The rollout will continue into 2026, as the credit union updates its signage and branches to reflect the refreshed identity.
