INDIANAPOLIS – Lt Governor Sue Ellspermann issued the following statement regarding the record Indiana employment figures released today.
“Governor Pence has consistently stated that job creation is our administration’s number one priority. The record employment numbers announced today show that our business-friendly tax and regulatory policies have created an environment that attracts new business and allows our existing companies to grow and succeed. New jobs have come to all parts of the state in our traditionally strong manufacturing sector as well as the emerging technology, life sciences and logistics businesses.
“Our challenge is to prepare a workforce that is educated and trained for the jobs of the next decade and beyond. We are committed to providing an education system that prepares Hoosiers for the careers of the 21st century and allows our job growth to continue at this record pace.”
