Merrillville-based Opportunity Enterprises recognized 14 individuals and organizations during its 2025 Celebration of Achievement Oct.23.
The event spotlighted clients, staff, volunteers and community partners who make Opportunity Enterprises’ work possible. Honorees were recognized for their contributions to Opportunity Enterprises’ programs and the broader community. Together, they embody the organization’s mission to create inclusive and equitable opportunities for people of all abilities.
Champion Award winners included:

- Caleb Houston, Jessica Wolfe Direct Support Professional of the Year
- Everwise Credit Union, Business of the Year
- Patrice Morris, Social Enterprises Staff of the Year
- DwyerOmega, JobSource Partner of the Year
- Ben Dunn, Outstanding Staff Member of the Year
Client Award winners included:

- Emily King, Daily Living Skills Client of the Year

Neil Samahon, Opportunity Enterprises president and CEO, thanked the honorees for their dedication, compassion and belief in a more inclusive world.
“Celebration of Achievement is a testament to the people who make OE possible. Our buildings, buses and programs are just tools. It's the people who bring them to life,” Samahon said in a press release. “Today we honor those who saw a need, stepped up and made a difference. Their stories remind us that OE is more than an organization, it’s a family.”
