The Valpo Chamber's annual meeting Jan. 23 will feature new Mayor Jon Costas.

He will present a state-of-the-city address.

Costas beat Democratic challenger Hannah Trueblood in the fall election. He succeeds Valparaiso Mayor Matt Murphy, who did not seek re-election. Costas retired as mayor in 2020 after 16 years at the post.

The event takes place from 12 to 1:30 p.m. at Journeyman Distillery's American Factory, 258 S. Campbell St.

Cost is $25 for members and $30 for nonmembers. Register here.

The chamber also is hosting a Network@Noon event from noon to 1 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Valparaiso Country Club, 2501 Country Club Road.
