Dig the Dunes to host food festival

Portage-based Dig the Dunes is hosting a Mac & Cheese Fest on Sept. 29 in Michigan City.

The Mac & Cheese Fest will feature samples of macaroni & cheese from several local restaurants. Zorn Brew Works will provide a cash bar. Johnny V, Tastee Treats and WYISIWG will perform live music.

Macaroni & cheese vendors will include:

  • Batisstas Artisan Pizza
  • Brewery Lodge and Supper Club
  • Burn ‘Em Brewery
  • Fish Camp
  • Meals on Wheels Northwest Indiana Culinary Team
  • Moe's Food Truck
  • Panini Panini
  • Patrick's Grille
  • Trip's Treehouse
  • Waterford Inn
  • Zorn Brew Works

Other vendors include:

  • Zombie Buzz Coffee
  • Firefly Glow Vintage
  • Futuristic Face Painting by Christopher Messer
  • Popcorn by the Lake Brothers
  • Renewal by Anderson

The festival will take place from 1 to 4 p.m. Sept. 29 on the street between Zorn Brew Works, 605 E. 9th St., and Barrelhouse the Venue, 113 York St. in Michigan City. Learn more here.

Dig the Dunes is a website that highlights activities and events in the Duneland area. It features information about beaches, trails, dunes, shops, restaurants, artists and people. Eve Wierzbicki started Dig the Dunes because of her love for the area.
