Chamber hosts wine festival

The Duneland Chamber of Commerce hosted the 5th Annual Vino al Fresco Wine Tasting Festival Sept. 13, in downtown Chesterton.

The event showcased local wine, beer, cider and food vendors. The chamber sold over 200 tickets to the festival.

“We love partnering with local wineries and vendors to put on this great event for our community,” said Rachel Campbell, Duneland Chamber of Commerce events manager, in a press release.

Attendees enjoyed selections from a lineup of regional wineries, including Aftermath Cidery and Winery, Avinados (poured by (219) Taproom), Four Corners Winery, Lambstone Cellars Winery, Olivezia, Running Vines Winery, Shady Creek Winery and Trip Fermentations. Zorn Brew Works was also on-site.

Guests enjoyed live music by the Hicks Duo.

“Vino al Fresco is truly one of our favorite events of the year,” Campbell said. “We intentionally keep the atmosphere relaxed and intimate, with a focus on offering the very best selections from local wineries. It’s a special evening that highlights the talent and flavors of our Region.”
