Purdue University’s Manufacturing Extension Partnership is presenting an OHSA workshop Dec. 11-12.
The 10-hour workshop, known as “OSHA 10,” will take place in Michigan City.
The goal is to provide employees with awareness of job-related safety and health hazards. Attendees will learn how to stay safe on the job through hazard identification, avoidance, control and prevention. Upon completing all 10 hours of the workshop, participants will receive their OSHA 10 Card.
Workshop topics include:
- Introduction to OSHA including worker’s rights and employer responsibilities
- Walking and working surfaces
- Fire prevention and emergency response
- Electrical safety
- Personal protective equipment
- Hazard communication
- Fall protection
- Machine guarding
- Safety and health programs including how to prevent workplace hazards
Manufacturing personnel at all levels are invited to attend.
The workshop will take place 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 11, and 8 a.m. to noon Dec. 12, at the Hampton Inn & Suites Michigan City. Learn more here.
