More than 90 members of the Northwest Indiana Forum gathered March 10 at Sand Creek Country Club for a legislative wrap-up.
Northwest Indiana state legislators discussed the 2026 Indiana General Assembly session, which ended Feb. 27.
“We are proud to provide a platform for thoughtful, bipartisan discussion that allows our members to hear directly from the leaders shaping policy at the Statehouse,” said Heather Ennis, president and CEO of the Northwest Indiana Forum, in a press release. “These conversations are critical to ensuring the community leaders remain informed and engaged on the issues that affect Northwest Indiana’s economy and future growth.”
Legislators on the panel included Sen. Ed Charbonneau (R-Valparaiso), Sen. Rodney Pol (D-Chesterton), Rep. Earl Harris (D-East Chicago), Rep. Julie Olthoff (R-Crown Point), Rep. Hal Slager (R-Schererville) and Rep. Ed Soliday (R-Valparaiso).
Forum members had the chance to ask the legislators questions about economic issues facing the Region.

The Northwest Indiana Forum hosts more than 20 events each year and has more than 170 investor organizations involved in its economic development efforts.
