The Northwest Indiana Forum hosted consultants who select sites for development during a whirlwind weekend tour of the Region.
The IN the North Familiarization Tour highlighted the natural wonders of the area and the possibilities for high-quality investments.
Forum leaders pointed out the availability of a skilled workforce, strategic location and diversity in economic opportunities.
The “unforgettable” weekend was presented in partnership with the South Bend – Elkhart Regional Partnership and Northeast Indiana Regional Partnership.
The consultants were given a tour of work underway on the $649 million double-track project. They also discussed workforce, DEI issues and regional thinking throughout Northern Indiana. A visit to the Indiana Dunes National Park was a highlight of the event.
The weekend also featured a dinner Sept. 15 for the six site selectors as the first stop of the tour.
