Leaders offer economic outlook

The Northwest Indiana Business RoundTable and the Construction Advancement Foundation of Northwest Indiana are hosting a business and economic outlook program Oct. 31.

The 2025 Business & Economic Outlook is designed to provide insights on trends influencing business and industry. The program will feature presentations from leaders in various business sectors and government agencies. It will conclude with an economic picture of Northwest Indiana and United States.

Speakers include:

  • Mayor Eddie Melton – City of Gary
  • Sherry Ziller – Northwest Indiana Regional Development Authority president and CEO
  • Audra Peterson – Porter County Career and Technical Education executive director
  • Tony Sindone – Indiana University Northwest, Center for Economic Education and Research director
  • Tom Vander Woude – Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission director of transportation
  • Emily Easton – Chicago Quantum Exchange director of education
  • Steve Skalka – Harbour Trust & Investment Management Company chief fiduciary officer

The event will take place 8 a.m. to noon Oct. 31, at Ivy Tech Community College in Valparaiso. Registration and breakfast begin at 7:30. Learn more here.
