Crossroads Chamber launches speaker series

Merrillville-based Crossroads Chamber is kicking off a new quarterly speaker series, “Voices of Northwest Indiana,” in 2026.

The series will bring together innovators, thought leaders and business professionals for conversations about the Region’s pressing economic and community topics.

Designed as a platform for meaningful dialogue, the series will explore issues shaping Northwest Indiana’s economic landscape, workforce, leadership pipeline and long-term regional development.

The inaugural panel, “Future Proofing Your Business: Marketing Expertise That Works,” will take place Jan. 20. The session will convene marketing professionals to discuss strategies, emerging trends, customer engagement, brand resilience and the tools organizations need to remain competitive in a rapidly changing marketplace.

“Voices of Northwest Indiana is exactly the kind of thoughtful, forward-looking conversation our business community needs, bringing regional experts and leaders together to tackle the issues shaping our future,” said Kelly Anoe, Crossroads board member and Legacy Foundation president and CEO, in a press release. “This series is a meaningful step for the Crossroads Chamber because it creates real opportunities for connection, practical learning and spotlighting the talent that is moving Northwest Indiana forward.”

The event will feature a moderated discussion followed by an audience Q&A. Each quarterly session will highlight a new topic identified as a priority among local business and community stakeholders.

“This panel series reflects Crossroads' commitment to fostering dialogue, collaboration and advancement across the region,” Katie Holderby, Purdue University Northwest director of alumni engagement and Crossroads incoming board chair, said. “By bringing together diverse leaders and perspectives each quarter, we're creating a platform that not only highlights the strength of Northwest Indiana, but also inspires solutions for the challenges and opportunities ahead.”

Future Voices of Northwest Indiana panels include:

  • “Mental Health in the Workplace” – April 21
  • “Economic Development Panel” – August 18
  • “The Future of Education and Workforce” – October 27

“Northwest Indiana is home to an incredible amount of talent and innovation,” Deann Patena, Crossroads Chamber CEO and president, said. “Voices of Northwest Indiana will elevate those perspectives, foster collaboration and give our business community the insight they need to thrive in a changing economic environment.”
