LAPORTE – Indiana University Health Occupational Services announces the acquisition of Wipperman Occupational Health. The acquisition, which became effective Jan. 1, transfers ownership of the South Bend clinic to IU Health Occupational Services.
Medical Director Vickie Wipperman said, “I’m so excited to join with IU Health. To have the backing and support of such a large and reputable organization will really help expand our capabilities into new service areas. I’m also very excited about the synergy of merging our two organizations. Our patient care philosophies are a perfect match.”
The new IU Health Occupational Services Wipperman Clinic, located at 19567 Cleveland Road in South Bend, opened in April 2000. Currently, the clinic employs 16 staff members including two physicians, nurse practitioner and a physician assistant. For the past 13 years, the full-service clinic has successfully provided comprehensive occupational health and wellness programs to a wide range of employers.
Wipperman is board certified in occupational and environmental medicine, and has 30 years of experience in healthcare with more than 24 of those years in occupational medicine. She graduated from the IU School of Medicine and later completed her residency in family practice at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis before moving to South Bend.
