Franciscan St. Margaret Health-Dyer and Hammond Volunteer Services president Deby Stevenson presents hospital president Thomas Gryzbek a check for $91,300 during an annual volunteers’ recognition luncheon at Teibel’s restaurant in Schererville April 9. Volunteers raise funds throughout the previous year that are used to enhance hospital services and benefit patient care. Gryzbek asked for blessings on the volunteers, as he praised them for selflessly giving of their time and efforts to serve others. Volunteers also were honored for cumulative hours of service during their tenure. Having the most hours were Evelyn Sartini with 28,700, and Ann Wintermuth, with 22,900.
