LAPORTE – Indiana University Health LaPorte Hospital presented Megan Pugh with the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nurses. Pugh has worked with VNA for three years and received the honor for the difference she has made in the lives of so many people.
The nonprofit Daisy Foundation was created by family members in memory of J. Patrick Barnes, who died in 1999 at the age of 33 from complications of Idiopathic Thrombocytopenic Purpura, a little known but not uncommon auto-immune disease.
