Lubeznik Center for the Arts in Michigan City will present its annual art festival Aug. 18-19.

MICHIGAN CITY – Lubeznik Center for the Arts received a $2,500 donation through the Michigan City Public Art Committee to provide veterans with free admission to the LCA’s annual summer arts festival.

The art festival, set for Aug. 18-19 and now in its 37th year, draws thousands of shoppers and arts enthusiasts to the Lubeznik Center campus, 101 W. 2nd St.

LAF features juried works by more than 80 artists, a family scavenger hunt, and food by leading local purveyors. Community booths at this year’s festival will feature art by the LCA’s Teen Arts Council, LCA’s Area Artists’ Association, and the Social and Learning Institute.

Visitors will be able to see LCA’s marquee exhibition, “Warhol: Icon and Influence,” as well as exhibits by Beverly Shores multi-media photography artist Joel Degrand and the Thaddeus C. Gallery from LaPorte. The South Shore Dance Alliance will present a performance inspired by the Warhol show.

Visit the Lubeznik Center for the Arts website for more information.
