Valparaiso University expands offerings

Valparaiso University is featuring new and updated academic programs in the 2025-2026 academic catalog.

The expanded programs include new minors, graduate certificates and updated majors.

New courses include:

  • Minors in Secondary Education, Project Management and Human Resources
  • Graduate certificates in Cybersecurity and Public Safety Social Work
  • Revised majors in Astronomy and Space Sciences, Integrated Public Health & Healthcare Leadership and Spanish for Professional Use

Eric Johnson, provost and executive vice president for academic affairs, said the program innovations are a strategic investment in the university’s future and the success of its students.

“We are intentionally aligning our academic portfolio with emerging market demands and societal needs, ensuring that Valpo graduates are not only competitive in the workforce but also equipped to lead and drive change in their fields,” Johnson said in a press release.
