PORTER – Seven Peaks Waterparks, based in Utah, has reached an agreement to buy the shuttered Splash Down Dunes water park on U.S. 20 in Porter.
Splash Down Dunes closed in 2009.
Seven Peaks said it plans to re-open Splash Down Dunes but that is unlikely to happen this season. The company said it will work this year to fix up the ground and improve the attractions that are there.
In a statement about the purchase, Seven Peaks said, “The main focus of our company is providing wholesome family activity.”
