CROWN POINT — University of Saint Francis Crown Point Dean Dr. Marsha King DNP, MS, MBA, RN, NEA-BC, was named one of the 2016 Influential Women of Northwest Indiana in Education in a ceremony on September 29.
The Influential Women of Northwest Indiana event honors both established leaders in our community as well as up-and-coming professionals. Women who win this award are recognized for making a difference in their businesses, industries, and communities in and around Northwest Indiana.
King holds associate, bachelors and master degrees in nursing from Purdue University Calumet, and also completed a Master of Business Administration with emphasis on health care at Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry. She most recently completed her Doctorate in Nursing Practice at Rush University in Chicago in 2013.
King brings clinical and administrative experience to her dean's role. The Chief Nursing Officer at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center until April 2011, she has also been an adjunct nursing faculty member for Bethel College in Mishawaka, Ind. and served as president of the Indiana Board of Nursing. She is married with two sons in healthcare professions.
