United Way RSVP Program Collected Winter Items

For the past few months, the United Way Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) has been collecting handmade items to donate to local nonprofit agencies through its new Crafting for Love program.

Various hand-crafted items, such as scarves, gloves, hats, blankets and dish towels, have been distributed to local agencies serving people in need. Participating agencies include the Sojourner Truth House in Lake County, the Salvation Army of Munster/Hammond in Lake County, We Care From the Heart in Lake County, Sacred Heart Food Pantry in LaPorte and Starke County Community Services.

If you are interested in volunteering for RSVP or would like more information about the Crafting for Love service project, please contact Michael Glorioso, the United Way RSVP Director for Lake, LaPorte and Starke Counties at 219-464-3583 or michael@unitedwaypc.org.
