VALPARAISO – Scott Tuft of Valparaiso has been appointed to the Indiana Dunes Tourism Board of Directors. The appointment was made by Valparaiso Mayor Jon Costas.
Tufts is director of sales and marketing for Accucraft Imaging in Hammond and is an associate at Bass Pro Shops in Portage. He has lived in Valparaiso for 20 years.
Tuft begins his two-year term on Jan. 1 and he will be one of nine members of the board that promotes local tourism. In addition to the Valparaiso mayor, board members are appointed by the Porter County Commissioners, Porter County Council, Portage mayor and the town councils in Burns Harbor, Chesterton, Porter, Hebron and Kouts.
