Truck Accessories Group of Elkhart now operates as LEER Group.
The company, an aftermarket producer of pick-up truck accessories, said the renaming strategy reflects the evolution of the organization as well as the strength of its brands.
LEER Group is a collection of companies, which manufactures fiberglass and aluminum truck caps, tonneau covers and accessories. Its brands include LEER, SnugTop, Century, Pace Edwards by LEER, and Bedslide brands.
“As we looked to the future of the company and the industry, it made sense to lead with a brand that has decades-strong recognition among truck owners,” said Peter O’Connell, president of LEER Group.
O’Connell said while the group name is changing, the names of individual brands including LEER, SnugTop, Century, BedSlide and Pace Edwards by LEER would remain.
“Together, our brands aim to cover a truck owner’s needs by enhancing the use of the truck and enabling the owner to get the most out of every experience,” he said.
LEER Group is a business unit of J.B. Poindexter & Co., a privately held portfolio of manufacturing businesses which provides transportation goods and services.
