The town of Merrillville's Economic Development Director Angie Chilcott spearheaded a redesigned website, which features improved communication with residents among many other updates.
“We are excited to launch this new website to promote what’s great about Merrillville,” Town Manager Patrick Reardon said in a press release. “We hope that this website will serve as a valuable resource and tool for our residents, businesses, and visitors, and we invite them to explore it and sign up for alerts.”
Information about the Merrillville Momentum initiative is available too, with a link to its website.
Residents can sign up for a newsletter, notifications and text alerts about road closures, meeting agendas and important news.
“Anything to keep promoting Merrillville and bring in not only business, but residents and new people to our community,” Chilcott said. “When you think about Northwest Indiana, we want Merrillville to be the focus.”
The upgraded website also includes and events calendar, videos of town meetings and a reporting system for concerns.
