Teachers Invited for Field Trips to Civil War Exhibit

HAMMOND — The South Shore Civil War Memorial Trail will be hosting their exhibit, Region United, Nation Divided: Following Lincoln, Feb. 24 through April 30 at the Indiana Welcome Center. The exhibit showcases the region’s answer to Abraham Lincoln’s call to action during our nation’s bloodiest war – the Civil War.

Field trip opportunities to the Indiana Welcome Center during the exhibit are available. The field trips are free of cost, and may include a guided walk-through with further explanation on the various exhibit items as well as an interactive quiz.
