LISLE, Ill. – SunCoke Energy Inc. has increased its ownership staked in East Chicago’s Indiana Harbor Coke Co.
With a $34 million investment, SunCoke acquired an additional 19 percent of Indiana Harbor Coke Co., bringing its total ownership stake in the East Chicago company to 85 percent.
Indiana Coke has an annual capacity of 1.2 million tons of coke production and is a major supplier to ArcelorMittal’s Indiana Harbor mill. The company was founded in 1998.
