EAST CHICAGO – St. Catherine Hospital has received an “A” for patient safety in a new Hospital Safety Score report issued by the not-for-profit Leapfrog Group.
“This recognition is a testament to the high level of commitment to our patients and their safety as well as the level of skills of our physicians, nurses and all staff that provides quality care on a day to day basis,” said Jo Ann Birdzell, CEO of St. Catherine.
Grading was conducted by the Leapfrog Group, an independent national not-for-profit organization using the collective leverage of large purchasers of healthcare to initiate breakthrough improvements in the safety, quality and affordability of healthcare for Americans.
