South Shore Roller Girls Hosts Double Header

HAMMOND — South Shore Roller Girls (SSRG) are hosting their first ever double header on April 18 at Jean Shepherd Center at 3031 J.F. Mahoney Drive, Hammond, IN, 46323. The doors open at 5:30 pm and the first bout, DuPage County (IL) Derby Dames Outrage vs Bone City Rollers from Warsaw, IN, will begin at 6 pm. After a short intermission, stick around for more action as South Shore Roller Girls stand off against the DuPage Derby Dames Onslaught at 7:45 p.m. You can purchase tickets at the door: $10 for adults, $5 for children ages 6-10, free admission for children 5 and under.

Watching double the hard hits, double the solid blocks, and double the derby will surely double your appetite. The food and drink at the concession stands provided by Martinis Steakhouse and Seafood from Valparaiso will keep you fueled and satisfied so you can continue watching the skaters plant double the mean derby kisses on their opponents. For fans 21 years old and over, beer will be also be provided.

A portion of the proceeds will go to benefit Kibble Kitchen Pet Pantry in Hobart, IN. The mission of the Kibble Kitchen is to keep pet-owners undergoing economic crisis from relinquishing their pets by providing free pet food until the pet-owner is once again able to afford the care for their pet. They also promote spay/neuter, responsible pet ownership and fill thousands of bowls. Their motto is go big or go home!
