The first SMART (Support Manufacturing And Regional Talent) class received their graduation certificates at a ceremony that included a variety of speakers from Mark Neal, deputy mayor of South Bend, to Paul Bonin, president of Bertrand Products and the local chapter of the National Tool and Machining Association. Half of this class has secured jobs with others considering pending offers. The second SMART class has already started and they are entertaining applicants for the third class.
