MISHAWAKA — The Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) oncology program in Mishawaka has been awarded the 2013 Outstanding Achievement Award (OAA) by the American College of Surgeons Commission on Cancer (CoC).
The OAA, established in 2004, recognizes oncology programs that strive for excellence in providing the best quality care for patients. Less than 75 oncology programs in the United States received the OAA recognition.
“We strive to not only meet the national standard of care, but to exceed it every day,” said Steve Anderson, MD, SJRMC Chief Medical Officer. “We have a calling to care for our community and create a superior experience for our patients during the most significant moments of their lives.”
