MISHAWAKA — In honor of those who have served or are serving our country, Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center (SJRMC) will host a Veteran's Day Celebration on Tuesday, Nov. 11, at its Mishawaka location.
SJRMC will begin its celebration at 9:30 am with a live bald eagle demonstration in the hospital lobby. At 11 am, SJRMC will hold a special Veteran's Recognition Service at the World Trade Center Memorial in the hospital lobby. South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg will provide the keynote address at the recognition. Buttigieg returned to South Bend in September after serving in Afghanistan for seven months as a lieutenant in the U.S. Naval Reserves. SJRMC will also honor all of its employees who have served in the U.S. military.
The entire community is invited to attend the Veteran's Day event. Following the service, a special Veteran's Day mass will be performed in the Our Lady of Fatima Chapel.
