MERRILLVILLE – General Motors has named Schepel Buick GMC in Merrillville as its 2011 Dealer of the Year.

GM said only 2 percent of its dealers are eligible for the award and that in 2011 only four dealers in its Chicago North Central Region received the award.

In 2011, GM said Schepel increase its business 13 percent and was the No. 1 Sierra dealers in the Chicagoland region.  It also ranked among the top in fleet business, commercial sales, used vehicles and parts.
