SOUTH BEND — In addition to 1021 newly purchased teddy bears, $5000 was collected from donors to South Bend International Airport’s (SBN) third annual Bears in the Air program to assist local veterans. St. Joseph County Airport Authority Board President Abraham Marcus presented the check to Kent Laudeman, Director of the Robert L. Miller Sr., Veteran’s Center.
The program continues to grow as an annual event at SBN. A new nonprofit organization will be chosen as the recipient of the cash donations from the 2015 campaign.
