SOUTH BEND — Allegiant is celebrating 15 years of low-cost air service to sunny vacation destinations by partnering with South Bend International Airport (SBN) to host a celebration in conjunction with the Center for the Homeless’ On the River festival taking place on Colfax Avenue near the river in downtown South Bend on Saturday, August 2, 2014. Everyone 21 and over is encouraged to come to the festival site between 10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. to register to win roundtrip airfare for two courtesy of Allegiant. There is no purchase necessary to come out to register for the chance to win the roundtrip tickets.
On the River is the second largest annual fundraiser for the Center for the Homeless. “Allegiant has been taking travelers to sunshine and beach-based destinations for years in South Bend,” said SBN’s director of marketing and development Julie Curtis. “On the River brings the beach to the heart of our city for one weekend each year. It was the perfect place to host this event while assisting to raise money for an important non-profit in our community.”
