VALPARAISO – The Northwest Indiana SBDC is expanding its adviser availability with the addition of set counseling hours at the Valparaiso Chamber offices.

Northwest Indiana ISBDC business adviser Gary Brownlee will be available to meet with current and potential entrepreneurs the second Tuesday of each month at the chamber, 162 W. Lincolnway. He is launching his availability Tuesday July 9 with hours from 1 to 4 p.m.

To schedule a 30-minute appointment, contact Brownlee at gary.brownlee@purduecal.edu or at (219) 644-3024.

The Valparaiso office hours build on the NW-ISBDC’s plan to make its advisers more accessible throughout the community for one-on-one consultations.

Beyond Valparaiso, business adviser Bill Gregory is available between 9 a.m. and noon the first Tuesday of the month at the Gary City Hall annex building, 839 Broadway. He is next available Tuesday July 2. He joins an Accion representative as part of a new collaboration.

Gregory is also on hand from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. the first Monday of the month at the Hammond INnovation Center, 5209 Hohman Ave. The upcoming date is Monday July 1.

Appointments are preferred for both the Gary and Hammond locations by calling (219) 644-3513 or emailing northwest@isbdc.org.

Serving seven counties in the region, the Northwest Indiana SBDC offers no-cost assistance for entrepreneurs starting or expanding their businesses. Through one-on-one consulting, the SBDC helps guide small businesses toward their goals by offering referrals, workshops, training opportunities and other essential business tools. It is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the Small Business Administration, the State of Indiana and other local partners.
