SB Symphony presents ‘Russian Dreams’

            SOUTH BEND – The South Bend Symphony Orchestra will present “Russian Dreams,” at 8 p.m. (EST) Saturday, Jan. 22, at the Morris Performing Arts Center.

            The concert will feature music from Russian composers, Tchaikovsky, Borodin and Prokofiev.

            Performances include Borodin’s “Polovtsian Dances” from the opera Prince Igor; Tchaikovsky’s “Concerto for Violin and Orchestra,” and Prokofiev’s “Symphony No. 5.”

            Guest artist Zofia Glashauser is a violinist from Krakow, Poland, who came to the United States to study violin performance at Western Michigan University. She is the concertmaster at the South Bend Symphony and assistant concertmaster of the Northwest Indiana Symphony and performs annual with the Michigan City Chamber Music Festival.
