MICHIGAN CITY – Save the Dunes is recommending that shoppers consider supporting locally based artists and artisans when buying gifts, home décor and jewelry. To promote the idea, Save the Dunes will hold a “Go Local” Open House at its gift shop on U.S. 12 in Beverly Shores from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 12.
Features will be dunes potter Sandy Henderson. Her pottery and the work of other local artists will be on sale at the Save the Dunes Shop.
