Santa Arrives In Downtown South Bend

SOUTH BEND – Make your season bright As Downtown South Bend, Inc. (DTSB) kicks off what is expected to be the best schedule of holiday events yet.

Attendees are encourages to bring their camera to Santa’s House for free photos with Santa. All children visiting Santa will receive an “I Believe” sticker which is good for a free chocolate bar at the South Bend Chocolate Café and many other downtown goodies. Visit Santa’s Workshop for free cookie decorating, live entertainment, activities, games, and to tour the Gingerbread Village. Right outside Santa’s Workshop on the Gridiron fresh Christmas trees and wreaths will be available for purchase.
Santa’s House and Workshop hours throughout December, weather permitting, are:

Saturday, Dec. 10, & 17 | 12-6 p.m.
Sunday, Dec. 11, & 18 | 12-4 p.m.
Friday, Dec. 9 & 16 | 5-9 p.m.
Mon. – Sat., Dec. 19-24 | 12-4 p.m.

Admission to Santa’s House and Workshop is free and open to all ages. The fun doesn’t just happen in Santa’s Workshop either. Many of downtown South Bend’s shops and restaurants are opening their doors for First Friday 5 – 9 p.m. for holiday shopping, dining, special events, and performances.

And if you haven’t gotten your fill of holiday happenings after downtown South Bend’s First Friday events, there are many more events throughout the season for you to experience; ice skating, breakfast with Santa, Santa on the East Race Waterway, shows at The Morris Performing Arts Center and The South Bend Civic Theater, and the beloved Roz Puppets puppet show.
