United Way Day of Caring is Northwest Indiana's largest celebration of volunteerism, bringing together local businesses, places of worship, and civic organizations to make an impact in the non-profit community. The annual United Way Day of Caring will take place Friday, August 22, with a variety of projects held in both Lake and Porter Counties. Projects range from fishing with day camp kids to painting, hosting parties for seniors to building ramps.
Over 2,000 volunteers made a difference through the United Way Day of Caring in 2013. Your company, organization, or group can join this year’s efforts in three easy steps: form a team, visit www.nwivolunteer.org, and choose a project no later than Friday, August 15th.
